Move up to a Aluminum Oxide Mounted Point 1/2" Wheel carving stone that cuts faster. The Mounted Point stone is good for rounding edges and surface finishes, or hard-to-reach difficult tight, and narrow angels. Use the coarse grit for general shaping and delicate texturing and  fine grit for smoothing and texturing soft carving woods. The carving stone holds its shape extremely well.

Grits are identified by color. Coarse is red which aggressively removes tough materials such as steel and pliable iron. Fine is white for extremely fine cutting and high finish on hard material including stainless steel, and glass. You can use the Aluminum Oxide Point 1/2" Wheel with Foredom, Dremel, and other power rotary tools.
