Amana ZrN Carbide Cone Burr 

The Amana ZrN Carbide Cone Burr with non ferrous flutes is designed for cutting all non ferrous and non metallics, such as aluminum, wood,  plastic, zinc, bronze, copper, and more. The aggressive carbide cone provides very little chance of plugging the flutes. The steel shanks are definitely in a class of there own. The solder joints are clean with no excess gaping out from the sides between the carbide bud and shank.
 
You can use the Amana ZrN Carbide Cone Burr with air or electric driven hand grinders with a colet or knee mill , or an air driven spindle speeder such as an air turbine product. If you use a high quality spindle speeder, it will improve the performance of miniature tooling. The Amana ZrN Carbide Cone Burr should not to be used in conventional Routers.

There are benefits when using Zirconium coating, is that it creates a harder and tougher cutting edge which allows a prolonged cutting edge life and helps to prevent the build up of material in the flutes when in use. These Carbide burrs also have a tendency to spin faster than an uncoated tool.
