The Cutting Knife/Chip Carving Knife  features a special blade shape for performing geometric wood carving, detailed work, delicate work such as sculpting, and cutting elements in wood. It was designed to create smooth and curved shapes like triangles, squares, lines, plus carve letters and signs.

Skew Knife/Small Bevel Knife has a special 45° secondary bevel and is most effective for creating shapes of a convex curve.  Most wood carvers use a skew knife as their main tool in any type of wood work. This skew knife was designed to make both smooth and curved triangles, squares, waves, and lines. It has a bevel on each side.
