Chicken & Worm Whirligig Hardware Kit
The Chicken & Worm Whirligig Hardware Kit will simplify making the Chicken and the Worm Whirligig. Start with a copy of the plan that is sold separately, and select the wood of your choice. We recommend an outdoor friendly wood or marine grade plywood.
Use the Chicken and the Worm Whirligig Hardware Kit to help you finish the project. You'll also need plywood for the whirligig blades. Our plans are designed to use 5/32" marine grade plywood. This is our #7002 Birch plywood. We sell it as 1/8" but it is closer to 5/32". Most other 1/8" plywoods will be slightly under 1/8" thickness.

Chicken & Worm Whirligig
I had to purchase the repair kit because the whirligig did not stand up too well to the wind and weather after being built and put out on the lawn. A couple of the nuts came off and were lost. The nut and bolt holding the legs came out also. Since receiving the repair kit I have added Lock-tite to the nuts and bolts to prevent them from coming loose again. I added some glue to them as well.
