Colwood Spade Fixed Tip Woodburning Pen has a tip designed to scorch small areas of wood, especially for gradient tones, shading, and filling in. The Spade has a symmetrical shape which is sharpened on both sides.

The Colwood Spade Fixed Tip Woodburning Pen can be used in two different ways. One is to use it to draw the tip of the Spade back towards yourself. This movement will shorten the stroke. The other way to use the  Spade is a long sweeping motion of moving your hand sideways. You will develop a rhythm for consistent overlapping of lines with the sideways motion.
