Colwood Ball 2 Fixed Tip Woodburning Pen

The smaller ball stylus' are great for cursive writing, lines, burning on tagua nuts and other miniatures, and a multitude of other uses. The Colwood Woodburning Fixed Handpiece Ball Tip glides over the wood to make a writing with this tool a snap.

Its small size, it is welded to the tip rather than having a wire through it. Extra caution needs to be taken when using these tips, they stay hotter longer after they are unplugged. The larger sizes can stay hot for up to 5 minutes so please be extra cautious when using them. All ball tips require a longer warm-up time and cool-down time than our other tips.

Colwood pyrography pens are ideal for woodburning, leathercrafting, and a variety of other creative pursuits. The fixed tip pen can be used with all types of wood, including both hard and softwoods, as well as leather, basswood, and cottonwood.

To keep your tip clean, use a leather honing strop, with aluminum oxide. Simply place a small amount of oxide on the strop and pull the woodburning tip across the strop surface to clear the tip of the carbon. This is the best method because it does the least amount of damage while restoring them to a bright finish that creates clean strokes.
