We try to provide as much heartwood in our pieces as possible, but sapwood (the lighter color, mostly found on the edges) is a natural characteristic of maple lumber.
Please be aware that some pieces may contain sapwood. This is not a defect, but more of the natural beauty that maple has to offer.
Our Maple 1/8 x 8 x 24 Hardwood Lumber Specs:
- 1/8 inch thick
- 8 inches wide
- 24 inches long
- Kiln Dried.
- Surface both sides.
- Planed on both sides.
- Made from Select and Better-Grade Lumber.
Warranty Information
Wood is a natural product. This red oak lumber may vary in color and also have a blemish or two. This is natural for any piece of wood. Lumber should be stored horizontally undercover on a firm surface (not the floor) to prevent warping. Allow several days after the arrival of your lumber for the wood to adjust to the humidity and temperature where you will use it and store it. Make sure that a heavy weight is placed on the top of the lumber. This will prevent warpage as the lumber changes and climatizes to your environment. Lumber is not warranted against color or minor defects. We can not exchange lumber because of the color. If your lumber is not satisfactory please contact us for tips on your specific issue.

I've just started to cut out the parts but one thing I will say is that finding wood,other than plywood ,is difficult at these sizes!
Love the straight fine grain and it will look great!
