This is the same Ramelson heavy-duty tool that is commonly found with palm handles.  Some carvers with big hands prefer this type of handle.

The Ramelson 60 ° x 1/4" V-Tool Straight Handle is ideal for every carver's collection that has a handle faceted with multiple control points to allow them to be held in various comfortable positions. 

Each gouge is made from W-1 US Tool Steel with a Rockwell hardness of 60-62.  The Ramelson Gouge features a blade that is straight.  This short-bladed knife is used to create precise cuts.
