Stryi Sculpture #7 Gouge 70mm

The Stryi Sculpture #7 Gouge 70mm wood carving tool is used on large sculpture carvings and chainsaw carvings, or cutting curves, cleaning large chunks of waste or adding depth.

Normally with this type of wood carving, a mallet can be used as an accessory tool as you drive the tool through the wood depending on how hard or soft you strike the tool handle. Removing a lot of wood that is against the grain can be difficult by hand so try the mallet to remove that wood can take a lot of strain off your hands.

Stryi tools are made from heavy duty carbon steel which is appropriate for manufacturing tools for wood carving.

The comfortable ergonomic and optical handle shape allows long lasting carving without additional hand fatigue.
