This Flexcut V-Tool is pre-sharpened at the factory to a highly polished razor's edge. This creates an efficient, long-lasting cutting tool. The more polished the edge, the sharper it is and the longer it will stay sharp. Keeping your tools sharp requires some routine maintenance.  

Maintaining a sharp edge

A tool is only as good as its sharpness, and when it comes to sharpening, nothing is more important than a quality strop and polishing compound. Our recommendation is the Flexcut FR317 Palm 45° x 5/32" V-Tool, which is sharpened at a precise 15° angle.

To maintain this edge, we suggest stropping it at a 10-15° angle using a fine grain leather strop and a micro-fine abrasive compound. With the right technique and the right tools, you can keep your tools sharp for a long time.
