General Finishes Glaze Effects

Glaze Effects are translucent water based colors used to create beautiful decorative finishes such as distressing, marble, shabby chic, burnishing, color washing, rag rolling and wood graining. The Glaze Effects can be used over our water based wood stains, milk paints, chalk style paints and pearl effects. Glaze Effects can be inter-mixed or layered to create custom colors. They may also be layered over one another to create deeper, richer looks.

Facts:

USE: Indoor Only.

SANDING: Do not sand stains before applying topcoat. Sand bare wood up to 150-180 grit. Sand opened grained wood up to 220 grit.

COATS: Normally 1 (additional coats can be applied for a darker color).

RECOAT: 1-2 hours

CURE TIME: Cure time for all General Finishes products is about 14 days under ideal conditions (70° and 70% humidity). However, this may vary slightly with humidity & temperature. Good ventilation, air movement and higher temperatures will accelerate dry time. 

APPLICATION: Acrylic brush, foam brush, paint pad applicator, or spray. Apply on and wipe off.

USE OVER: GF Milk Paints, Wood Stains, pigmented Polys, and any GF water base topcoat

CLEANUP: Soap and warm water
