This one results in a very attractive clock. I enlarged the plan by 25% to utilize 1/4 wood instead of the called-for 3/16 resulting in a 22 1/2" tall piece. I also taped the two back upper and lower halves together to cut as a single piece, and removed the assembly tabs as I can always see them and dont like them.....a personal preference, not any slight against the design. This clock is a bit dated as it calls for a carded mercury type thermometer, but those are still available as collectors pieces on ebay, which is where I sourced mine. Highly recommend this clock with its dragons, serpent at the top, and cranes at the bottom.....which DID leave me wondering why it's called the "Gingerbread" clock.
