This is a fun and exciting scroll saw project for you to build.  These two toy tractors are on a wooden base. One looks like a cross between a tractor and a car, and the other John Deere is an old 19th century tractor with a cab.

The case tractor has a long deep hood, with a cab, big tractor tires in the back and small car like tires on the front making it look more like a car than a tractor.

The John Deere has a long wide hood with smoke stacks, a cab on the back, and eight tractor tires.

Case & John Deere Tractor Pattern Specifications:

  • Each approximately 5 inches high x 8 inches wide.
Wood Requirement:
  • 1/4 inch for tractor.
  • 1/8 inch for front bumper
  • 1/2 inch for base
This scroll saw pattern is full size.  You will receive the plan printed on paper.  We recommend that you make a copy to scroll saw out and use the original for reference.Fun Facts:There were dozens of manufacturers in the early 19th century such as Case, and John Deere that actually marketed automobiles and tractors.The Minneapolis-Moline's 1938 Comfortractor looks more like a car than a tractor but back in the day they made this tractor for an on and off road vehicle.  This company tried to blend the line between the two by placing a streamlined cab and set of fenders on an existing tractor chassis, offering both the utility of a tractor and the comfort of an automobile all in one vehicle.
