Colwood Guge Fixed Tip Woodburning Pen

The Colwood Guge Fixed Tip Woodburning Pen is a straight point tip with a specially designed angle used for creating feathers.   These Colwood Fixed tips can also be used to outline and raise feathers, shading, or detailing under the wings. 

Most Tips when held at a 45° angle to the wood and rotated between the thumb and fingers allow you to create thick lines or graceful curved lines. This Guge replaceable tip was specially designed by Bob and Josh Guge with a bend making it easier to create those special effects without holding your hand in an awkward position. The rounded heel prevents gauging the wood.

How does it work?

The wood burning pen plugs into the cord on the control unit box. Simply plug it in and you are on your way to burning the details you need. You will need a Colwood control unit to operate this fixed tip wood burning pen. There are a few ways to keep your tip clean, use a leather honing strop, with aluminum oxide. Simply place a small amount of oxide on the strop and pull the woodburning tip across the strop surface or use a sanding stick with 320 grit to clear the tip of carbon while restoring them to a bright finish that creates clean strokes.You can also use the tip cleaning burr to remove carbon buildup in seconds.Enhance your woodburning skills with this versatile woodburning pen!
