The Green-winged Teal is North America's smallest dabbling duck with green iridescent patches on its head and wings. The Green Teal duck is almost 14 1/2 inches long with a wingspan of 24 inches.

Recommendations for the Green Winged Teal Flying/Landing Carving Pattern:

When carving the full size 12" long Green Winged Teal Male Flying/Landing  you can use:

• 7-8 mm brown eyes.
• 4" x 9" x 12" piece of Tupelo or Basswood for the body.
• 1 1/2" x 3 " x 4 " piece of Tupelo or Basswood for the head.
• 5" x 2" x 11" piece of Basswood or Tupelo for the wings.
• Feet. We do carry replica Delise cast feet for this pattern.

When carving the 1/3  size 4" long Green Winged Teal Male Flying/Landing you can use: 

• 3 mm brown.
• 1 1/2" x 3" x 4 1/4" piece of Basswood or Tupelo for the body.
• 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" piece of Basswood or Tupelo for the head.
• 1 1/2" x 3/4" x 4" piece of Basswood or Tupelo for the wings.
• Feet.
