These Colorful large diving sea ducks weigh about 3 1/2 pounds, are 20-23 inches long with a wingspan of about 30-36 inches long. Spectacled Eider males have a pale green and yellow head, large spectacle patches around the eye, and a pale blue iris. The feathers extend down to the nostrils, and the bill is a bright orange. Spectacled Eider ducks have a black throat , chest, belly, rear, and tail, while the neck and back are white. His legs and feet are a yellow-brown.
