• For the  4" long Downy Young Wood Duck you can use: 
• 1 1/2" x 2" x 4" piece of Basswood or Tupelo for the head and body.
• Feet.

When carving the 1/2 size 7" long Female Wood Duck with Downy Young you can use:

• 4 mm Brown eyes.
• 3" x 2 1/2" x 7" piece of Basswood or Tupelo for the Female body.
• 1" x 2" x 3" piece of Basswood or Tupelo for the Female head.
• Feet.
• For the Young Downy you can use.
• 1" x 1 1/2" x 2" piece of Basswood or Tupelo for the head with body.
