If you are looking to get a fast start on carving, try the full size basswood cutout of a Male Wood Duck Resting on Water

Our Wood Duck Basswood Cutout is cut from the Stiller Pattern P-137 which is a full size Male Wood Duck Resting on Water.

We use a block of basswood for the head and another for the body.  We cut the pattern out giving you a little extra room for carving.

Things needed to complete the Male Wood Duck Basswood Cutout

• You'll still need to carve it!
• Add the eyes. You'll need a pair of 9mm red eyes
• Glue the head to the body.
• Either purchase feet and legs or make your own.  The lumber for the legs is not provided with this cutout.
• We recommend purchasing a copy of the pattern to make your carving experience easy.
