The Common Snipe Flying/Landing Carving Pattern is a great way to get those wood carving projects going that you'll enjoy. The Common Snipe is a small stocky bird with the longest bill of all Snipes. They are 9-11 inches long, with a wingspan of approximately 15-17 inches, and have a broad white stripe at the base of the wings. They are a unisex bird, meaning male and females are similar.
Carve a Common Snipe today with this Stiller pattern. When your finished with your carving you can add more details with a wood burner.

- Body; 2" x 4" x 8" piece of Basswood or Tupelo.
- Head w/ Bill; 1" x 2" x 4 1/2" piece of Basswood or Tupelo.
- Wings; 1" x 4" x 9" piece of Basswood or Tupelo.
- Eye's; 6 mm Brown.
- Feet.
