The male Mandarin Duck is a medium size duck which approximately 16-19 inches long, weighing about 1-1 1/2 pounds, with a wingspan of 26-30 inches.. They have a red bill with a large crescent above the eye, and reddish face. Males have a purple breast with two vertical white bars, and two orange sails, and distinctive orange feathers on the side of their face. Male and female Mandarin ducks have a purple crest. Females are similar to a Woodduck with eye rings and a stripe running back from her eye, and a brownish body.

- Eye's; 8 mm Brown.
