This bur is made for fast removal of stock with a precision not available in other burrs making them an invaluable resource for carving. The SaburrTooth 1/4" x 1 3/4" Safe End Cylinder (Coarse) 1/4" Shank are designed for lateral acess with a non cutting tip. It can easily produce a flat surface or can be used to quickly round over the edges on the flat surface.
