Train Hardware vs Train Plans
The hardware kit is comprehensive and convenient. However, be aware that if you follow the plans, some of the hardware won't work. i bought the plans and began cutting and drilling the pieces. Then I ordered the hardware kit. The axles provided with the kit do not match the plans and will not work. Cherry Tree quickly sent me the correct axles. One wheel was cracked and Cherry Tree said they were shipping a replacement as well. Never arrived so my granddaughter got a six car train rather than the 7 car train in the plans. Buy the hardware first! That way you'll know whether the pieces will match the plans.
